The project group Interieur HMI / Assistenz (“Interior HMI/assistance”) is headed by cluster
member GRAMMER. In the scope of coordination meetings with the “interface partners”, optimal
networking opportunities for individual components are discussed, such as the combination of
optimal seat adjustment and access system to the cabin. With this groundbreaking concept,
the objective is to generate added value for users with new, previously untried convenience
functions. After completion of all required software and hardware components by the
individual cluster partners, a “Plugfest” was staged in December where all components were
physically linked with each other for the first time. The 12“ multi-touch display attached
to the multi-function armrest as central control element is a crucial element in the area
of HMI.
The successful result of the intensive cooperation meetings has already become evident during
the first live test.
